Artist's Description
The oil painting was inspired by an experience when I was hiking with my friend, in the woods near Calistoga, CA. We got lost, when out of the woods came an old woman with a long white braid riding bareback on a white horse. We asked her the way and she just pointed the direction without speaking, enhancing the archetypal quality of the experience.
